Holler At Us

  • We fill 4 fridges per day around the Portland Metro area. Sometimes we’ll do more if we hear about a need and we often deliver pantry boxes to people as well.

  • Sometimes it’s chosen for us—the stores will put out a selection of what they can give and we go from there. Bakeries will often have items already bagged or boxed and ready to go. At food shares or community pantries, we look for the freshest food and ingredients that we can turn into bomb meals!

  • Our consistency and our community relationships are a huge factor in why we can serve as many people as we do. Our leadership is Black and femme. We represent a diverse cross section of Portland and a lot of us have been food insecure at one time or another, meaning that we have a deep understanding of why this work is so important and a genuine love for the folks who eat with us.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day. If that doesn’t work, try a carrier pigeon or see if Mason will bring us a message. If nothing else, stake out the fridge at 15th and Emerson—we’ll be there soon enough!

  • Mutual aid and community support are at the heart of TinyDeeds but we also really value the humanity of our people! We believe that everyone should be paid a living wage, medical and mental health care should be free, and that no one should be unhoused. We believe in Black and Indigenous leadership. We believe that pets are soul care. We believe in chosen family. Basically we’re biiiiig ol socialists with a healthy dollop of Pac NW idealism.

  • Anyone and everyone. If you’re hungry, you eat. We DO like to see people be mindful of how much they’re taking at any one time so resources stretch as far as possible, but we sure as hell don’t police what people take.

  • Yes, her name is Mason and she’s rachet but we love her. She doesn’t help with the food endeavors but she does judge how we do the job. Look at that smug mug.
